The Age: "Sydney ranked the least affordable of all the Australian cities, rising from 25th place in the last survey to 16th on the world scale.
This made it less affordable than major world cities such as New York, Rome and Beijing, but more affordable than the Norwegian capital Oslo, the most expensive city, and Tokyo (ranked second).
Melbourne rose to 19th place, up from 28th spot, while Brisbane ranked 32nd, up 10 places since the previous report."
